EMMAUS HOUSE/HOMEWARD BOUND
Emmaus House is an emergency shelter in Newark for homeless families with children operated by Homeward Bound. Familes can stay for 30 days on an emergency basis and 60 days on a transitional basis.

COMMUNITY EMERGENCY FUND         A special offering is taken during communion services to be used for community emergencies at the pastor's discretion.  Many times people come to the church with requests for funds to cover an electric bill, a night in a motel, food, baby supplies, etc.  Some of the local social service agencies may call with a referral for help to get someone through a difficult period.

MEALS ON WHEELS Volunteers from the church pick up hot lunches at the Newark Senior Center and deliver them on Mondays to the elderly and home-bound people around the area.  Sandy Berk coordinates this service.
