Dear Communion Server:

Thank you for your willingness to assist the pastor in serving communion!

Enclosed is the Communion Server schedule for October 2003 through May of 2004. If the date or time is not suitable, please try to exchange with someone else on the list. Then notify the church office (731-9495) by Wednesday of that week. If you are not successful, please call me at 610-388-2471. This list will be posted on the Ebenezer web site (www.ourlightonthehill.org) for future reference.

The basic tasks of the Communion Server are:

• Go forward and take communion with the pastor, Lay Reader, and Music Director when called during the service.
• Serve either the bread or drink as directed by the pastor
• Communion is usually served to the congregation as they pass by, but sometimes is served as they kneel at the rail.

I am sure you will find that serving communion is a great way to serve our Lord.
